I think the Philips ds714 was the most important message switch computer in the world.
In italy we have installed 4 system ds714 for military army, one for air force in aftn network, 5 system ds714 for italcable network.
Now I am a pensioner but during my activity in Philips italy i was teacher in training course hardware Ds714.
someone know about existing in some nation the PMuseum Philips ds714?
HI, I used to work with a DS714 in the SITA network. In fact, I still have the frontpanel and some memory modules of the machine at home!
Nice piece of hardware! Pictures for the one I worked with can be found on http://www.driesbessels.com
The FAA Air Traffic used the DS714 at NATCOM in Kansas City in the early, early 70’s. NATCOM was National Communications switching center (weather) off Bannister road in KC, MO. Gomez.
I have a panel similar to the one displayed above only a newer type. All of the lights are LEDS and the panel is controlled with an RS232 input. Does anyone here know anything about this panel and if so, do you have a list of codes to control the panel. Best regards.

Hello, I was surprise to see a news article dated 2008 identifying a failure caused by DS714 computers. Are they still using it ?

I spent over a year converting DS-714 assembly code into C++, for the FAA in Atlantic City. I knew it well! Are any still in use???
